Let’s explore Aulani!
Aulani is Disney's stunning resort in Hawaii. We're revisiting to see if it still has the charm we remember, and so far, we're captivated! First on our sweet treat list is Papalau Shave Ice.
Disney's Aulani Resort offers a lush tropical setting with a sprinkle of Disney magic. From dining to special encounters with beloved Disney characters, it's all here. We indulged in two delightful desserts on our beach strolls, kicking off with Papalau’s Shave Ice stand.
Located in the resort's shadow, this stand offers an array of flavors. Open daily from 11 AM to 5 PM, it's best to check the times before visiting as it’s weather-dependent. We tried the famous $7 Mickey Ears Shave Ice with Lychee, Blue Raspberry, and Banana. It's a must-try!
Light, refreshing, and quintessentially Hawaiian with a Disney twist, the Micky Ice is perfect for the hot Hawaii weather. The vibrant syrup selection ensures a flavor for every palate, and the ice holds its form impressively, despite the sun's heat.
Next up, we tried Little Opihis for more sweet delights—because one treat on a Disney trip just isn't enough! This beachside snack stand offers Dole Whip, ice cream, and more. We opted for the $11 Pineapple Dole Whip Waffle Bowl, topped with Mickey sprinkles and a choice of character, and went with our favorite alien, Stitch.
The combination of pineapple and watermelon is refreshing, although the watermelon leans a bit sweet. The portion size is generous and ideal for sharing, making it an excellent option to beat the heat.
We have thoroughly enjoyed Aulani and look forward to more adventures! Share your thoughts if you've visited this enchanting Disney resort. Do you think the Mickey Shave Ice lives up to the hype? We'd love to hear your opinions!
