Disney World's food can really surprise you in the best ways sometimes!
We decided to compare burgers from Wailulu Bar & Grill and Steakhouse 71, both of which have their own savory reputations. Originally, we thought Steakhouse 71's Stack Burger was unbeatable, but our taste buds had different ideas the moment we tried the Wayfinder Burger at Wailulu.
### The Steakhouse 71 Stack Burger: A Comfortable Classic
Found at Disney's Contemporary Resort, this burger is the epitome of classic, diner-style goodness. It features a blend of beef, cheese, lemon aïoli, red onion, and pickles on a brioche bun, with a delicious surprise of pork belly on top. Priced at $24, it's served with a side choice, and we went for the parmesan fries. The burger was juicy and flavorful, though the fries were a bit too crispy for our liking.
### The Wayfinder Burger: A Delightful Surprise
Over at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, the Wayfinder Burger set us back only $23 and offered its own unique twist. With two pressed patties, American cheese, onion jam, and Volcano Sauce on a sweet bun, it was an unexpected delight. Paired with sweet potato fries, the flavors balanced beautifully — especially with that kick from the Volcano Sauce.
### The Verdict
Though Steakhouse 71’s Stack Burger stands strong with its rich flavors and pork belly, the Wayfinder Burger from Wailulu surprised us with its fresh taste and Polynesian-spin. Both are worth trying, but if you're looking for something a bit different, Wailulu’s offering is a hidden gem.
Which burger would you choose for your next Disney trip? I personally was blown away by the Wayfinder Burger! Share your thoughts in the comments!
