I absolutely love Star Wars, even the divisive stuff like *The Last Jedi* and *The Acolyte*. But I have to admit, my experience at Oga’s Cantina in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge didn’t live up to the hype. Despite finally landing an elusive reservation, the bar felt underwhelming to me. The characterful server was great, but the overall decor lacked that expected Disney detail.
Although the DJ R-3X animatronic was catchy, I missed the original cantina band vibe. Drinks had catchy names but were pre-mixed, and dietary restrictions limited my choices. The atmosphere seemed like an afterthought, as if the more exciting concepts were reserved for the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser experience. I would much rather enjoy a Ronto Wrap by the Millennium Falcon for a true Batuu vibe.
