Let me take you on a walkthrough of my ultimate Disney World hotel room at Wilderness Lodge, a place I just can't seem to get enough of.
Wilderness Lodge deserves more attention from Disney fans when discussing hotels. Its fantastic dining options, closeness to Magic Kingdom, and calming wooded retreat atmosphere within the Disney bubble make it a gem. Let me show you my favorite room here.
I recently revisited the 1-bedroom villa at Copper Creek, Wilderness Lodge, with my family of three, including our toddler. The spacious room was exactly what we needed, and it won’t be our last visit for sure.
Upon unlocking the villa with a phone or MagicBand, you step into a full-size kitchen complete with all the necessary appliances, cookware, and utensils for preparing your meals. This is perfect for those who prefer cooking during their stay.
Dining is easy with a large table for six, great for meals or fun activities like board games. If not used for dining, the table serves well for organizing park bags.
The living area has a pullout couch that can sleep two, making it a decent option for kids, although not as comfortable as a standard bed.
One of our favorite features is the in-unit laundry: a washer, dryer, and detergent – essential for long stays or larger parties.
The bathroom is split into two sections with ample amenities, including a tub with jets for relaxation after a park day. Storage abounds with wardrobes, cabinets, and USB-equipped nightstands for convenience.
Our room had a peaceful view from the balcony, overlooking the resort's heart. Although some views are obstructed for watching events like "Happily Ever After" fireworks, the music is still piped in across the resort.
For anyone traveling in a large group, staying for an extended period, or simply wanting extra space on their Disney trip, this could be the ideal room. You don’t have to own Disney Vacation Club membership to book this; you can either book directly through Disney or rent DVC points.
What about you? What's your favorite Disney World hotel room? I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments!
