In the roller coaster showdown, Disney World's latest additions have a standout winner. Although TRON Lightcycle / Run debuted after Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, it's evident that the EPCOT ride is more popular than the Tomorrowland attraction at Magic Kingdom. Interestingly, a unique TRON souvenir in Magic Kingdom is unavailable, not due to selling out.

Hidden in Tomorrowland Launch Depot, Disney offers a TRON Identity Program where you can create a personalized TRON action figure at the Grid Digitization Portal. Despite being a new activity, it's not particularly popular. All TRON Identity Program “Portals” were recently closed, without ever selling out. What's happening with this collectible?
According to a Tomorrowland Cast Member, the TRON Identity Program is temporarily closed. It's been this way for about a week, and there's no information on when it will reopen. The activity costs $89.99.
Closed Portals
No Disney World Cast Members were observed working on the kiosks during our visit, which are operated by a third-party organization. This setup is similar to custom photo souvenirs available in the parks, where your face is Photoshopped onto a Disney character. These are also managed by third-party companies and not officially Disney, offering insight from an ex-Cast Member.
The fate of the TRON Identity Program is uncertain. We'll monitor for updates as the control lies with the third-party firm managing the kiosks. The program is still listed in the My Disney Experience app, so a permanent closure seems unlikely. Stay tuned for the latest Disney updates.
