It's official—Test Track has reopened at EPCOT after its redesign! The iconic attraction retains its name but has undergone several updates that are bound to intrigue and excite guests.
The new Test Track features updated signage, though the entrance remains similar with familiar lines for Single Riders, Standby, and Lightning Lane. A major change is the removal of the interactive car design queue, now replaced with futuristic concept car models to admire as you wait.
Once aboard, guests experience six new show scenes focusing on vehicles and technology, plus a nostalgic nod to the classic "World of Motion" ride with instrumental music in the background. Disney has also added a fresh scent to the ride's atmosphere—it's like being surrounded by a pleasant pine candle scent.
Outside, the Test Track retains its thrilling speed, still reaching 65 mph, making it the fastest ride in Disney World. Though gone are the interactive exit games, you can still grab your ride photo before visiting the General Motors showroom.
This update might not completely replace the nostalgia of the original crash test dummies experience, but it offers a modern twist EPCOT fans might find appealing. With the ride reopening on July 22nd, we're eager for everyone to experience this exciting reinterpretation.
