That’s why we do what we do — I want you to get the absolute best bang for your buck on vacation without having to stress the entire time. Ain’t nobody got time for that! Each month, the Magical Guides team rounds up the Lightning Lane prices, so you can take a look and see if it makes sense for you on your upcoming visit. Don’t worry, we’ll go over how it all works and then break down that pricing. Let’s go!

Hold up. How do Lightning Lanes work?​

Let’s face it — this system can get real confusing, real fast. Skip-the-line passes have seen some drastic personality changes over the past few years, but here’s how it works right now.

Lightning Lane Multi Pass​

If the Lightning Lane types are the Heathers, this one is the queen bee, Heather Chandler. This is a more affordable option that allows you to skip the line at several attractions throughout the day.


Kilimanjaro Safaris Lightning Lane


When purchasing Multi Pass, you can make up to THREE Lightning Lane selections in a park in advance of your visit. Additionally, you can choose available times as you make your attraction selections, and you can continue to hold up to three Lighting Lane Multi Pass selections at a time.

Lightning Lane Single Pass​

On the other hand, you might want to purchase Lightning Lane Single Passes via the My Disney Experience app. It is essentially a pay-per-ride service. You’ll pay a fee to use the Lightning Lane for an individual, in-demand attraction.

Lightning Lane Premier Pass​

Finally, if you’re looking to splurge, Premier Pass is for you. This inclusive option grants one-time entry into EVERY Lightning Lane entry in a given park for one price, eliminating the need to monitor Lightning Lane availability and make new Lightning Lane reservations throughout the day, and granting the ability to simply show up at an attraction and enter the Lightning Lane (as opposed to booking a specific time).
