EPCOT is renowned for its vibrant festivals, and while we're currently between events, excitement is already building for the next one! The EPCOT Food and Wine Festival kicks off on August 28th, and we're eagerly counting down the days.
Disney will roll out more details closer to the festival start, but what trends are we predicting for this year’s Food and Wine Festival? Let’s dive into some anticipated trends that might spice up the festival this year!
First off, we're eyeing upcoming food trends. Popular flavors like ube, matcha, strawberry, and pickle are expected to star in several dishes. Also, Freeze-Dried Skittles seem to be everywhere lately, and we bet they’ll make a fun appearance again.
Mocktails are another trend gaining traction. We're seeing an increase in mocktail choices across Disney World and hope they’ll be more prevalent at the festival. Wandering around the globe sipping on creative non-alcoholic beverages sounds enticing!
We're really hoping for the return of seminars this year. It’s been a while since we've had them, and with CommuniCore Hall and Plaza now ready, seminars could definitely make a comeback!
The Eat to the Beat Concert Series seems to be focusing on acts that resonate with those who grew up in the late 2000s and early 2010s, and we expect to see more pop-punk and pop stars from that era this year.
Could we see more Muppets this year? With the closing of Muppets Courtyard, perhaps we'll spot them more at the festival bridging the gap for Muppet fans.
Lastly, we’re sincerely hoping for more table spaces! It would be so nice to enjoy the delicious offerings without having to rely on trash cans as makeshift tables.
