I was always curious about this: what does Disney do to folks who get into fights, steal things, or simply act like a fool?
So I went around, and I was lucky enough to chat with a few Disney security cast members. Some of the answers might surprise you.
There are a number of plain-clothes folks in the parks who are there for security, so you never really know where they are. Funny enough, they don't seem to be around when fights break out in random parks.
Disney doesn't call it a jail; they have a "calming area," which every park, water park, and even Disney Springs has. A few different things happen. Sometimes, adults need to be pulled back into reality from the theme park mindset to understand that whatever they were doing isn't going to fly in the Disney park—and they need to straight up or be asked to leave.
From what I've been told, the security doesn't want to kick people out. They get it—you're on vacation paying good money and want to let loose. But they can't just let you go hog wild, there are kids present. So unless you do something unforgivable—and there is a list—getting taken to Disney jail isn't the end of the world.
I'm thankful they don't pipe music in from It's a Small World or put you in the dungeon of the Pirates ride.
I've never seen the insides of these "calming rooms", and I don't believe I want to.
