Exciting times are ahead for the Disneyland Resort! The ambitious DisneylandForward project, officially approved in May 2024, will reshape the park over the next decade with a nearly $2 billion budget. Disney will collaborate with the City of Anaheim to rezone neighboring areas, optimizing space for new attractions and experiences.

While Disney is keeping many details under wraps, they've hinted at new themes and attractions that could come to Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure. Lands inspired by Coco, Black Panther, Tangled, Frozen, Zootopia, Peter Pan, Tron, and Toy Story have been floated, some already featured in Disney parks worldwide.

Part of the plan includes developing a new transportation hub, additional parking, and expansions in lodging, dining, and retail. For Anaheims' residents, the proposal sets aside $30 million for affordable housing, $8 million for parks, $85 million for traffic and pedestrian enhancements, and job training programs. The project envisions a unified entertainment center encompassing the existing 500-acre property over the next 40 years.

At the recent D23 event, details of the Avatar expansion were unveiled, promising new adventures and a thrilling boat ride at California Adventure. Plus, Avengers Campus will welcome new attractions like Avengers Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab. Notably, a Coco-themed boat ride enhances California Adventure's Pixar-inspired areas, drawing fans of the beloved film with its dynamic animatronics.
