One of Disney World's most popular pools, Stormalong Bay, is still under renovation. Nestled between Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts, the pool closed for refurbishment in January 2025 and will reopen just in time for summer this June. It's impressive to see all the work being done!
Presently, construction is progressing with the pool drained and the sand removed. We never realized how much sand it took to fill the pool! There are now sandbags ready to be placed back in. Various scrims and cover sheets are scattered throughout the area, including near the ship slide, which is fenced off with planters.
The current situation at the resort involves a lot of activity, with carts darting in and out of guest pathways to get supplies to the construction site. Once it reopens, swimming will be restricted to resort guests only, who need to show proof of stay to receive a wristband. Pool hopping won't be allowed here!
