Disney’s Animal Kingdom is bustling with transformations at the moment. DinoLand, U.S.A. has begun its phased closure to make way for Pueblo Esperanza. Meanwhile, today marks the final curtain call for "It’s Tough To Be A Bug" at the iconic Tree of Life, soon to be replaced by "Zootopia: Better Zoogether"! As we bid farewell, we headed over to witness its last day in action.

Opening with Animal Kingdom in 1998, "It’s Tough To Be A Bug" was Pixar's initial foray into Disney parks, hosting a 3D show featuring Flik from "A Bug’s Life," amidst immersive special effects. This attraction won't be the same without its unique queue pathway through the Tree of Life, showcasing its remarkable carvings.

Though crowds were sparse, the nostalgia was palpable, with the reintroduction of the original bug-shaped 3D glasses and cast members paying their respects. Although it’s bittersweet to say goodbye, we’re eager for Zootopia’s upcoming launch this winter.

What are your thoughts on these changes? Did you enjoy "It’s Tough To Be A Bug," or are you excited about the new Zootopia attraction? Drop your thoughts in the comments!
