Is it just us, or does it feel like Disney World is turning into a giant construction site? It might be an exaggeration, but there’s definitely a lot happening right now.

In EPCOT, Test Track is gearing up to reopen after a long closure for its new theme. Magic Kingdom's Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is being renovated and Frontierland is expanding with a Cars theme. Plus, there’s a new Villains Land coming, too. Over at Disney's Hollywood Studios, they’re working on a Monsters, Inc. area and transforming Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster into a Muppets ride. To top it off, Disney just announced two popular rides will temporarily close soon.

For EPCOT visitors, note Spaceship Earth will shut down for routine maintenance on August 25th but will reopen later this year. We are still wondering if the rumored major updates will ever happen. Meanwhile, in Magic Kingdom, the Under The Sea — Journey of the Little Mermaid ride will close for a short maintenance break from July 21st to July 26th.

Also, remember that Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin will close on August 4th for some updates, including a new scene, updated ride vehicles, and enhanced gameplay. We’ll keep an eye out for more closures, so stay tuned.

Will any of these ride closures impact your trip? Share your thoughts with us!
