So, Disney World went all-in with croissants in 2024, and it seems the craze will continue into 2025. In 2024, they introduced a variety of sweet croissants like PB & J, Cookie Dough, and Espresso. But now, we see a shift toward savory delights, and we are all for it! Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs just launched three new savory croissants, and one screams charcuterie heaven.
One standout is the Charcuterie Croissant priced at $14. It's a croissant filled with 2-year-aged cheddar, smoked cheddar, mozzarella pearls, prosciutto, salami calabrese, green olive, heirloom tomato, arugula, and cornichon. It combines the goodness of a charcuterie board with a flaky croissant, and it's absolute bliss for charcuterie fans. The smoked cheddar, however, was a bit of a letdown, but the rest of it was superb.
The Ham and Cheese Croissant ($13.50), made with smoked pit ham, mild cheddar, cornichons, and a garlic herb-cheese spread, was unfortunately underwhelming. It felt like something from a regular deli, lacking the "wow" factor we expect.
Our top pick was the Chicken Salad Croissant at $13.50. This creation, with Waldorf chicken salad, arugula, golden raisins, and spiced walnuts, tasted heavenly. The raisins added a delightful sweetness, complementing the savory chicken salad wonderfully.
Each croissant is served with delicious housemade chips, making them all a meal on their own.
