What does Disney World look like when it's sold out?

In early 2024, Disney World eliminated its park pass reservation system for most visitors with date-based tickets. However, Annual Passholders and certain ticket holders still require reservations. On busier days, park pass reservations can "sell out," barring those users from sold-out parks, as happened on Monday, January 6th.

Bad news if you're at Disney World today: it's packed! Park pass reservations are fully booked for Annual Passholders and some ticket holders, so if you haven't secured a reservation, you may be out of luck. We checked out the parks to see what the situation looks like today. At EPCOT, it wasn't too crowded near the entrance…
…but deeper into the park, it got pretty hectic. The line for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in France Pavilion stretched far beyond the promenade.
That's a long line!
Magic Kingdom seemed more crowded, especially near the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and the rest of Fantasyland.
Crowds
Even if you can't access your preferred park, you're likely still able to try switching to another park. However, January 6th saw all four parks sold out, so unless space opens up, last-minute reservations today are unlikely.
Fantasyland crowds
When visiting during busy times, Disney World usually notifies capacity updates through the My Disney Experience app. You can also call the park capacity hotline at (407) 560-5000 to check availability. This number is useful for park hopping too, as capacity limits could still apply.
Wait times for some rides exceeded an hour, even reaching multiple hours…
