Things are almost ALWAYS changing in Disney World! Lately, it feels like the parks are entirely new places thanks to updates like Villains Land, Piston Peak, Monsters Inc. Land, and more.
In fact, we’re just a few days away from a MAJOR day in the parks with so many new attractions, entertainment options, and more. Ahead of the big changes, Disney has been dropping teasers and previews that have us ridiculously excited for what’s to come. Let’s dive into this week’s latest and greatest Disney news!
Cool KIDS’ Summer is just days away from kicking off in Disney World. This means a lot of summer fun is starting soon, and Disney has made sure to give us just enough news that has us itching for May 26th in Disney World.
SO MUCH MUPPET NEWS!
Starting off strong, Disney made sure the Muppets fans were fed this week. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster starring the Muppets opens on May 26th, 2026, and Disney has given us so much new information. They gave us a first look at the upcoming Scooter animatronic, as well as the audio engineers (the penguins).

They also showed us what the on-ride photos will look like. There will be three different frames so you can choose which you like best! We love how colorful they are.

What’s a new ride without some merchandise? Disney also teased new shirts, hats, pins, accessories, and more that will be dropping when the ride opens.

Finally, Disney also shared the FULL menu for the new snack stand called FØØD by Swedish Chef.

The new food truck will have Wocka Wocking Nachos, Churro Drumsticks, Mayhem Soft-serve Float, The Pink Le-moi-nade, and Pond Water Limeade. They’re also bringing back the classic corn dog nuggets as well as some other staple items.

It was a BIG news week for Muppet fans, and this has only made us even more excited for the coaster to open.
Soarin’ Around the World Has Closed
Over in EPCOT, Soarin’ Around the World closed to make way for Soarin’ Across America! The popular EPCOT attraction is getting a big makeover for America’s 250th birthday. Disney closed the attraction to make the switch to the new version of the ride, but it wasn’t closed for long!

Soarin’ Across America
This week, they also began previews for Soarin’ Across America! Cast Members got to check out the first rides on the new version of the ride. Guests will be transported to beautiful spots across the country, including New York Harbor, the New England coastline, and Grand Canyon West.

Annual Passholder previews will be on May 19th and 20th. Passholders will simply need to hop in the standby queue to check it all out! The ride opens on May 26th at EPCOT and then on July 2nd at Disney California Adventure.
The Bluey Takeover Is Beginning SOON

Disney also confirmed that a virtual queue will be in place for the newly updated area. Guests will need to join the virtual queue to experience Bluey’s Wild World at Conservation Station, the Wildlife Express Train, Jumping Junction, and the Animal Care experiences at Conservation Station. This will be the only way to experience any of the Bluey stuff, as there will not be a standby queue available during the initial opening period.

We know that this opening is going to be wild (pun intended), so be sure to check out all of the virtual queue information before it all kicks off on May 26th!
This was a BIG week when it comes to previews and teasers for the future. We can’t wait to check out ALL of these new attractions along with their merchandise and snacks on May 26th. As always, be sure to keep following DisneyFoodBlog for more Disney news, updates, details, and more.
