Exciting updates from Shanghai Disney Resort!
In December 2023, the eagerly awaited Zootopia-themed land opened and quickly became a fan-favorite. The park is now in the midst of its third expansion since launching in 2016, having just started construction on a new Spider-Man-themed land!
Earlier hints in March 2024 suggested new attractions were in the works next to Zootopia. By April, we learned of a thrilling new roller coaster featuring forward and backward launches. The suspense was worthwhile as, in August 2024, Disney unveiled plans for a Marvel attraction, themed around Spider-Man—a high-speed, immersive roller coaster.
We’re thrilled that Disney has officially broken ground on this new venture, marking the beginning of its creation. There's no set timeline for its opening yet, but we'll keep you posted with the latest updates.
