I don't want to come off as negative, and I genuinely hope to give Disney a fair chance. However, after about twenty attempts, I feel like enough is enough.

If you're a fan of live-action remakes, my opinion might not sit well with you; it’s likely I’m echoing what others have said in Disney’s comment sections. After seeing the new promotion for the live-action **Lilo & Stitch**, I have to ask: where do we draw the line?

It's clear that Disney is using live-action remakes as a way to package old stories with a new look. They already know these films will draw in audiences since they have an established fan base. I sometimes envision the perfect cast for these remakes, but I’m exhausted by the repetitive nature of these productions. What’s the point of rebooting another **Snow White** film? Does modernizing a classic from 1937 really bring anything new? Do the CGI dwarfs hold the same charm as their animated counterparts?

But getting back to what sparked this for me—the recent teaser for the **Lilo & Stitch** remake felt devoid of soul. Am I alone in this feeling?

The trailer appears to reference those early-2000s “Inter-Stitch-als” that were genuinely funny and creative. This new take doesn’t seem to have that same spark. While CGI Stitch looks cute, his movements come across as stiff compared to the animated version. The nostalgia angle feels tired, especially when it comes across as a lazy attempt to promote multiple live-action films at once.

The comparison of live-action characters to their animated pasts makes it clear that they lack the same over-the-top reactions we loved in the originals. It’s tough to feel the excitement when the execution lacks that careful, hand-drawn artistry. Honestly, I’m ready for Disney to wake up! I want to see fresh ideas again—something like what we saw in **Enchanted**. Can we get back to that magic?

What’s your take on the slew of live-action remakes? Are you as fatigued by them as I am?
