Don't overlook one of Disney World's hidden gems — River Roost in Port Orleans Riverside. If you've roamed around this area, you might have just walked past this unassuming spot. Known for its cozy atmosphere and live piano shows by Yeeha Bob, it's now making waves with a spicy new menu item: Andouille Nachos!
Priced at $13, these nachos are a generous serving packed with flavor. They’re piled high with andouille and red bean chili, cheese sauce, trinity pico, and sour cream all over crunchy tortilla chips. To top it all off, ours were finished with pickled jalapeños and cilantro, a delightful surprise not mentioned officially. Be warned, these are not for the faint of heart. The Cajun heat is no joke and keeps building with every bite!
Texture-wise, the chips are nice and crunchy at the start but do tend to soften under all the toppings — so grab those top chips first! It's perfect to share between two people or enjoy solo as a meal.
If you're staying at Port Orleans Riverside or even nearby French Quarter, make sure to swing by. It’s an awesome find, especially where meals at Disney are often much pricier.
If you've tried the River Roost or these fiery nachos, I'd love to hear your take! Do you think it's worth the hype? Drop your thoughts below!
