When visiting Disney World, one pressing question looms: "How do I bypass these long lines?"

For years, Disney has introduced solutions to help guests minimize their wait times. From the debut of FastPass to interactive queue games, virtual wait areas, and even more, Disney has explored all avenues. In my six years of covering Disney parks, the top concern for many guests remains how to avoid waiting. At Walt Disney World, several strategies currently exist.
Let's start with the resort's foremost paid line-skipping system, Lightning Lane. Presently, three tiers are available.
**Lightning Lane Multi Pass**
The Lightning Lane Multi Pass allows three pre-selected Lightning Lane choices per day in a park (one Tier One and two Tier Two, or three Tier Two attractions) in advance (up to seven days for Disney Hotel guests and three days for others). As you utilize each choice, you can find more options using the My Disney Experience app.

**Lightning Lane Single Pass**
The Lightning Lane Single Pass lets you reserve a ride time for popular attractions for an added fee, providing two Single Passes per day.

**Lightning Lane Premier Pass**
The Premier Pass offers one-time access to each Lightning Lane experience at your convenience, without setting a specific time in advance, purchasable seven days prior for hotel guests and three days before for others.

Apart from Lightning Lanes, guests have other ways to sidestep the lines.
**Rider Switch**
With Rider Switch, party members can trade turns riding. One waits while the others go on the attraction. Once done, the waiting member can ride without queueing.
Rider Switch is deemed "appropriate" when:
- A party member doesn’t meet ride requirements and can't wait alone.
- A guest has a service animal that can't board.
- A guest's needs make waiting in the line unsuitable.
Inform a Cast Member if you're using Rider Switch.
**Single Rider**
Single Rider Lines are specialty queues where individuals fill empty ride seats.
Five Disney World attractions feature Single Rider Lines:
- Expedition Everest
- Rise of the Resistance
- Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run
- Test Track
- Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure
A note: parties using Single Rider Lines will be split up, and there's no guarantee it'll be faster than the standard queue.
