Big updates are happening at Disney World!
At Animal Kingdom, DinoLand U.S.A. is transforming into Pueblo Esperanza, and Magic Kingdom is set to unveil a new Villains Land and Cars attractions. Notably, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin is closing for an upgrade on August 4th, 2025.
Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin will close for refurbishment on August 4th, 2025, with August 3rd marking the last chance for guests to experience it as it currently stands.
Come 2026, expect a rejuvenated ride featuring an additional show scene, updated vehicles, and enhanced gameplay. Introducing a new character, Buddy, passengers will embark on a mission with interactive target features and handheld blasters for better aiming.
The ride vehicles are receiving a sleek new look inspired by Buzz Lightyear's colors, complete with video monitors for real-time scores. The interactive targets will light up when hit, thanks to innovative new technology.
Although the reopening is set for 2026, Disney hasn't specified an exact date yet.
