Something HUGE, no, EPIC is taking place at Universal Orlando. Epic Universe officially opens tomorrow, May 22nd, complete with a MASSIVE opening ceremony. While we've already had a sneak peek at all five lands, today's event exceeded all expectations as surprise celebrities appeared to help launch the park. And guess what? We were there!
During the ceremony, some characters made grand entrances through thematic portals. Victoria Frankenstein and her monsters emerged from the Dark Universe portal, while Princess Peach, Mario, Luigi, and Donkey Kong burst into view from the Super Nintendo World portal, as expected.
The real surprise occurred with The Wizarding World of Harry Potter's Ministry of Magic portal. Out came James and Oliver Phelps, the Weasley twins from the Harry Potter movies, alongside Warwick Davis, known for his roles in Harry Potter, Willow, and Star Wars, among others. It was amazing to see these stars up close for the Epic Universe opening.
