Certain Walt Disney World resorts, often referred to as “sister resorts”—do allow guests to use pools at both properties. However, this privilege is limited to specific resort pairings and is not a general policy across all Disney resorts.
Resorts with Shared Pool Access
Here are some examples where guests can enjoy pool facilities at more than one resort:
• Disney’s Yacht Club Resort & Disney’s Beach Club Resort
These two resorts share the renowned Stormalong Bay, a 3-acre water recreation area featuring a sand-bottom pool, lazy river, and a life-size shipwreck with a 230-foot waterslide.
• Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside & Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter
Guests at either resort can use the pools at both Riverside and French Quarter, offering a combined experience of their unique theming and amenities.
• Disney’s All-Star Resorts (Movies, Music, and Sports)
Guests staying at any of the All-Star Resorts can use the pools at the other two, providing flexibility and variety during their stay.
• Disney’s Pop Century Resort & Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
While these resorts are connected via Generation Gap Bridge, pool hopping between them is generally not permitted.
General Pool Hopping Policy
For most other Disney resorts, pool hopping is not allowed. Disney enforces this policy to ensure that resort amenities are available to guests staying at that specific property. Pool access is typically restricted to guests of the resort, and MagicBands or Key to the World cards may be required to enter pool areas.
Tips for Enjoying Multiple Pools
• Confirm Policies at Check-In: Always ask about pool access policies when you check in to your resort.
• Consider Resort Hopping: While pool hopping is restricted, exploring different resorts’ dining, shopping, and recreational offerings is encouraged and can be a great way to experience the diverse theming of Disney resorts.
• Plan Accordingly: If access to multiple pools is important to you, consider booking a stay at one of the resorts that share pool facilities.
By choosing resorts with shared pool access, you can enjoy a variety of aquatic experiences during your Disney vacation.
