All flights to Orlando International Airport and several other Florida airports are currently paused.

Flights to Florida's East Coast cities—Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and Palm Beach—are also on hold until 8 PM Eastern Time on Thursday, March 6th.

SpaceX's Starship launch from Brownsville, Texas, ended with the vehicle spiraling out of control, scattering debris into the Atlantic Ocean. This led the FAA to issue a ground stop, citing "space launch debris."

Orlando International Airport has experienced 176 flight delays today, as reported by FlightAware.

SpaceX noted on X that the Starship experienced an "unscheduled disassembly and contact was lost" during its ascent. Residents in South Florida and the Bahamas observed the flaming debris in the sky following the incident. SpaceX and relevant safety officials are now handling the situation.
