There’s quite a bit of empty space at Disney’s BoardWalk that we’ve been waiting and waiting (not so patiently) to see how Disney would fill. We lost Jellyrolls, which was one of our most beloved spots with live music, but it seems like something similar is coming back to the BoardWalk.
Old Jellyrolls
Disney just made a HUGE announcement with everything coming, but there’s one that is catching our eye. We might have said goodbye to Jellyrolls (well, sort of. It’s moving to a new location outside of Disney), and we might have found a suitable replacement.
A new lounge called Hurly-Burly will welcome guests for “fun-filled afternoons and glamorous evenings inside a historic seaside theatre with a vibrant BoardWalk story that spans over a century” and is set to open starting in late 2026. While Disney did not specifically state which building it would be taking over, based on the size and the concept art, we’re thinking it’s going to be in the old Jellyrolls building.

During the afternoon, there will be family-friendly activities like trivia and other games led by a host, but at night, it switches over to 21-and-over. It will become a live music venue where you can unwind with classic, coastal-inspired cocktails and tasty light bites, while enjoying a variety of musical entertainment that perfectly complements the BoardWalk’s other unique offerings. Uh yeah, that sounds pretty awesome!
Disney’s BoardWalk
Disney said that you’ll want to visit time and time again, whether you’re coming for a round of daytime trivia or an evening of seaside serenades. We love that it’s both family-friendly and also a space for adults, depending on what time you come. Anywhere with live music, we’re going to be there anytime we can.
