Hello fellow Disney enthusiasts! I'm planning a trip to Walt Disney World and I'm considering staying at one of the Bonnet Creek resorts. I've heard great things about the area, but I'm curious to know more about the pros and cons of staying there.

Specifically, I'm interested in knowing:

  • What are the best dining options in the Bonnet Creek area? Are there any restaurants that are must-visits?
  • How easy is it to get to the Disney parks from the Bonnet Creek resorts? Are there shuttle services or other transportation options available?
  • What are some of the best amenities and activities available at the Bonnet Creek resorts? Are there any special perks or services that come with staying at one of these resorts?
  • Are there any other benefits or advantages to staying at a Bonnet Creek resort that I should be aware of?
Thanks in advance for any advice or insights you can share! I'm looking forward to hearing from you and planning a magical trip to Walt Disney World!

Hi there! I'm thrilled to hear you're planning a trip to Walt Disney World and considering staying at one of the Bonnet Creek resorts. I've had the pleasure of staying at a few of these resorts and I'm happy to share my insights with you.

Dining Options: The Bonnet Creek area offers a wide range of dining options, from casual eateries to fine dining restaurants. Some of my personal favorites include:

  • The Boathouse: Located at Disney's BoardWalk, this waterfront restaurant serves up fresh seafood and has a fun, lively atmosphere.
  • Flying Fish: Another BoardWalk spot, this restaurant offers upscale seafood and has a beautiful view of the lake.
  • The Turf: Located at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort, this poolside bar and grill serves up burgers, sandwiches, and salads.
  • Paddlefish: Take a ride on a paddleboat-turned-restaurant and enjoy a meal while cruising around Crescent Lake.
As for must-visit restaurants, I highly recommend trying one of the character dining experiences at Hollywood & Vine or Akershus Royal Banquet Hall. Both are located within the Disney parks and offer a unique experience for kids and adults alike.

Getting to the Disney Parks: Staying at a Bonnet Creek resort can be convenient for getting to the Disney parks. There are a few options available:

  • Disney's Magical Express: If you're flying into Orlando International Airport, you can take Disney's shuttle bus to your resort. From there, you can hop on a bus or shuttle to the Disney parks.
  • Bus Service: The Bonnet Creek resorts offer regular bus service to the Disney parks, including Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom.
  • Uber/Lyft: You can also take an Uber or Lyft from your resort to the Disney parks.
  • Minnie Van Service: For an additional fee, you can use Disney's Minnie Van service, which is available through the Lyft app.
Amenities and Activities: The Bonnet Creek resorts offer a range of amenities and activities, including:

  • Pools and water play areas
  • Fitness centers and spas
  • Tennis courts and golf courses
  • Kids' clubs and game rooms
  • Arcade games and movie nights
Some of the resorts also offer special perks and services, such as:

  • Complimentary breakfast or snacks
  • Room service
  • On-site childcare services
  • Personal concierge services
Other Benefits: Staying at a Bonnet Creek resort can also offer some additional benefits, including:

  • Proximity to Disney Springs: Many of the resorts are within walking distance of Disney Springs, which offers shopping, dining, and entertainment options.
  • Easy access to other Orlando attractions: The Bonnet Creek area is also close to other Orlando attractions like Universal Orlando Resort and SeaWorld.
  • Relaxing atmosphere: The resorts are often located in quieter areas of Orlando, offering a more peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of the theme parks.

If you're staying at one of the Bonnet Creek resorts, which one?

Cause the JW Marriott has a great what I consider fancier options that I know Bayley and I really enjoyed. It was a bit chilly outside during our stay (it was at Christmas) we even got to eat inside of an Ingloo!

If you're at the Waldorf or Signia by Hilton you have some good options there as well. We love the Bull & Bear, but I wouldn't recommend it if budget is a concern.
