Did you know Bay Lake Tower is currently undergoing refurbishment? I recently checked into a 2-Bedroom Villa during my trip and was thrilled to be assigned a freshly refurbished room! While I’ve always loved Bay Lake’s convenient location (hello, Magic Kingdom walking path and easy monorail access!), I wasn’t always a fan of the older decor. However, with these updates, Bay Lake Tower has definitely climbed higher on my list of favorite DVC resorts.
The refurbished rooms have embraced a chic, contemporary vibe with just the right amount of Disney magic, and the artwork is stunning—capturing the whimsy of Magic Kingdom while honoring the resort’s history.
Here are a few updates I’m loving:
Pull-down wall beds (farewell, pull-out couches!)
Plenty of outlets for all your devices
A stronger Disney feel in the design
Rainfall showerheads for the ultimate relaxation
New flooring and accent carpets
Keep in mind, not all rooms are finished yet, so there’s no guarantee you’ll land one of the refurbished rooms until the project is complete. However, you can always have a preference noted on your reservation, and it never hurts to remind a Cast Member at check-in.
