WARNING: My story might just alter your perception of Disneyland!
Disneyland
Being at Disney every day, the Magical Guides team has surely encountered some real horror stories. Unfortunately, I've had my fair share of unexpected Disney adventures, which might just offer you some valuable advice for your next trip to Disneyland!
Though Disney controls most aspects of the park, there's always a wild card—literally. Disneyland teems with wildlife you may not expect—ducks, seagulls, pigeons, cats, crows, and bugs all have their say in the experience. I learned this lesson the tough way.
Jungle Cruise
During fall, the crows, particularly, make their presence known. I realized this when I made a mistake while waiting near the Storybook Land Canal Boats in Fantasyland. Underestimating their presence, I ended up with a ruined brand-new Haunted Mansion shirt courtesy of some unfriendly crows.
Storybook Land Canal Boats
This wasn't my only wildlife encounter, though. A praying mantis once fell on me near the Pirates of the Caribbean, and a spider paid an unwelcome visit while I was seated under a tree by the Haunted Mansion.
The main takeaway here? Try to find shade elsewhere if you’re not ready to deal with potential wildlife surprises. Of course, these incidents are rare, but it’s a good idea to be cautious around the trees—particularly the Storybook Land trees in autumn.
