We finally have some news about what's replacing the old NBA Experience at Disney Springs, and it's pretty exciting! It looks like LEVEL99, an interactive social entertainment spot known for its challenge rooms, is set to debut its first Florida location there!
This will be the fifth LEVEL99 location and the first of its kind in Florida. It's designed for adults with over 50 physical and mental challenges in creatively-designed environments, making it a one-of-a-kind arcade and entertainment hub.
According to LEVEL99's CEO Matthew DuPlessie, they're pioneering the interactive entertainment category, recognizing a genuine demand for such experiences. After launching the first escape room worldwide in 2004, DuPlessie opened the inaugural LEVEL99 location in 2021. The Disney Springs venue will be their largest yet with over 60 challenge rooms, duels, and a chef-led restaurant serving specialties like their award-winning Detroit-style pizza.
A recent filing confirmed the name "LEVEL99" for its business operations at what we assume is the former NBA space. We're eagerly waiting to see how this unfolds!
