It’s tough being a fan of TV shows on streaming platforms! Just when you get hooked on a new series, it often seems like the streaming service pulls the plug.

It's especially disheartening when shows get the axe after a single season. Looking at you, Disney+, we're still upset about *The Acolyte.* Unfortunately for fans of the Amazon series *Clean Slate,* it's been canceled after just one season.

*Clean Slate*, which only premiered in February, was created by and starred Laverne Cox and George Wallace. It had positive reviews, with an 89% on Rotten Tomatoes, yet it wasn’t enough to save it. It’s quite saddening, especially since this was Norman Lear's final project before his passing in 2023.

The show followed Harry Slate, played by Wallace, a traditional Alabama car wash owner who is tasked with reevaluating his life when his estranged child returns home as a trans woman, Desiree, portrayed by Cox. Despite its quality and engaging storyline, the series wasn't given the time to find its audience. It’s a recurring pattern and quite frustrating for fans.

Did you get a chance to watch *Clean Slate*? Share your thoughts in the comments!
