My husband and I are thinking about going to another trip to Disney World. It's been a hot minute since we have been together. since then we both have gained a little bit of weight -

Are there any rides we should avoid? We want to try to ride Tron, but if there is a weight limit I'd like to know and I can't find one. My husband is pushing 500lbs being at Disney World might be a problem. He doesn't have a problem with mobility but we do want to ride as many rides as possible.

So, previously, I weighed in at over 530lbs+, and I spent a lot of my time worrying about not fitting in, doing the walk of shame, etc.

So, focus on the mobility. I recommend really comfortable shoes such as the Hoka One One Bondi series. They are extremely cushioned and, on a long day, will help quite a bit. A few alternatives or shoes will be the Hoka's Clifton's or the Brooks offers Glycerin, or Ghost line of shoes.

I've ridden most of the rides at Disney World carrying extra weight, and not. I do have a few rides I would avoid:
Pandora flight of Passage (but still try the test seat!) in Animal Kingdom.

Tron has a caboose seat to accommodate larger guests, but I hear it has more of a weight.

Tiana's Bayou Adventure is just a retheme of Splash Mountain, and if fits most body types. You might be more comfortable in your own row, but that just depends on your preferences.

I rode Tower of Terror, Soarin' or even Test Track but with any ride that has a seatbelt, I recommend pulling out the seatbelt as far as it will go prior to trying to sit down, buckle it, and then sit. They have really long seatbelts on the rides. These aren't always the most comfortable but the rides are great.

Rock 'n' Roller Coaster is a must - the harness goes over your shoulder, and just holds you in - gravity does the rest. Going upside down was a new experience for me as a "big guy". I love it.

Take your time, don't over do it, and stay hydrated. More importantly, I hope you have fun!

I'm a bigger lady - but I've never had to do the walk of shame at Disney World. Their rides are very "Pooh size" friendly!
