It's officially 2025, which marks the debut of Disney World's latest hotel perk!
It’s a long-awaited moment for 2025 Disney World vacationers to enjoy a brand new free water park perk. Here’s what you should know!
There are many advantages to staying at a Disney World hotel during your trip. Besides being close to Disney magic, hotel guests can use free transportation around the property via monorails, the Skyliner, buses, and watercraft. Plus, all hotel guests, whether staying at a Value, Moderate, or Deluxe Resort, can access Early Theme Park Entry, allowing them into the parks 30 minutes before the general public. Another benefit is that hotel guests can make Lightning Lane reservations seven days before arrival, whereas others can only book three days in advance.
Now, a new perk is available for Disneyland hotel guests in 2025! On check-in day, both you and your room guests receive complimentary admission to one of Disney World's water parks.
While a great way to kill time before the 4 PM check-in, there is a catch. Disney mentions tickets are subject to availability, meaning that if the park is closed for maintenance or due to cold weather, you might not use this perk. Additionally, the tickets are non-transferable.
Both water parks undergo annual maintenance, but Disney promises to stagger them. Disney's website states, “Guests should be able to enjoy at least one water park year-round.” If you don’t use this perk, there is no compensation in exchange. Here's how to use this free perk:
The perk will be automatically added to your My Disney Experience account, and upon scanning into the water park, your reservation will be recognized. The ticket appears under “Tickets and Passes” in the My Disney Experience app as the “Resort Guest Water Park Arrival Day Benefit.”
Remember, this perk is valid only on your check-in day. You don’t need to be checked into your room for the perk to be active. It requires that your reservation and all hotel room guests be correctly linked through your My Disney Experience account.
If you plan to utilize this perk, we suggest arriving early at Disney World, as water parks generally close before theme parks, especially in winter. Pack your swim gear in advance so you can head straight to the water park after dropping off your luggage at the resort. Towels are provided free for Disney World resort guests.
