In 2025, Disney World is undergoing significant transformations! We're welcoming new shows, lounges, and saying goodbye to cherished favorites.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios is at the forefront of these changes with the debut of two new shows this summer—Villains: Unfairly Ever After and The Little Mermaid: A Musical Adventure. Plus, Muppet’s Courtyard will close to make space for the upcoming Monsters Inc. area. But, there’s a change on the horizon that will affect Fantasmic.
We’re seeing changes to the Fantasmic! Dining Package, which includes a meal at a participating Disney’s Hollywood Studios restaurant and reserved seating for the popular Fantasmic! performance. Options include 50s Prime Time Cafe, Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant, Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano, Hollywood & Vine, and The Hollywood Brown Derby.
Unfortunately, Mama Melrose’s last day is May 10th as construction begins for the Monsters Inc. area. This might make securing a reservation even tougher.
Once the Monsters Inc. area opens, it seems HarryHausen’s, a restaurant inspired by the film, might replace Mama Melrose’s. Could this spot be added to the Fantasmic! Dining Package? It’s possible, though unconfirmed. We're eagerly hoping this becomes a reality!
