One of Disney’s latest hotel pools is set to close for refurbishment. In mid-January 2025, Disney announced that the pools at Pixar Place Hotel at Disneyland Resort would shut down next month for updates.

According to Disney, "Beginning February 3, 2025, the Pixar Place Hotel pool deck will be closed for refurbishment." No completion date was provided.

The pool area, located on a third-floor roof deck, includes features like the Finding Nemo-themed Pixel Pool and the 186-foot Crush’s Surfin’ Slide. There's also a children's play area, a whirlpool, and a lounge for adults.

During the refurbishment, hotel guests will have access to the pools at the Disneyland Hotel. However, the pool deck will remain open on select nights for fireworks viewing.

The pool complex opened as part of the hotel's transition into Pixar Place. Originally Emerald of Anaheim in 1984, the hotel became Pan Pacific Hotel Anaheim before Disney acquired it in the mid-90s. Operated as Disneyland’s Pacific Hotel initially, its name changed to Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel alongside California Adventure's launch in the early 2000s. It retained that theme for about 20 years before adopting its current Pixar theme, fully opening in January 2024.
