Disney World offers some excellent perks for guests staying at their hotels.
Staying on Disney property grants you a 30-minute early entry to all parks. Hotel guests can purchase Lightning Lanes 7 days ahead of check-in, compared to 3 days for non-resort guests. In 2025, resort guests will enjoy a significant perk: 2 free tickets!
Disney announced that starting in 2025, guests at Disney Resorts, including DVC properties, will receive a free park ticket to either Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon on their arrival day. This benefit requires all guests seeking complimentary access to be listed on the hotel reservation.
Disney cautions that these free tickets are subject to availability; if a park is closed due to refurbishment or weather, you might miss out. The tickets are nontransferable.
Disney mentions that both water parks undergo annual staggered refurbishments, aiming for at least one water park to remain open year-round. Unfortunately, unused tickets do not result in credits or gift cards.
If weather leads to park closures, this might be disappointing for early arrivals. Rooms may not be ready yet, so plan accordingly, especially during colder months or hurricane season.
