May is a HUGE month for Star Wars fans — and not just because of May 4th, when the unofficial Star Wars Day (A.K.A. “May the Fourth Be With You”) falls.
New missions will be added to Millennium Falcon: Smugglers run in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort featuring the Mandalorian and Grogu.
While May the Fourth is still a big day, even more exciting Star Wars changes are coming to Disney World and beyond. On May 22nd, the new Mandalorian and Grogu movie premieres in theaters, and to celebrate, a brand-new mission is coming to Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run at Hollywood Studios!
In honor of the release of The Mandalorian and Grogu movie on May 22nd, 2026, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run will offer NEW experiences for those who ride it, beginning on that same date.
Mandalorian and Grogu
The ride will get a new storyline featuring both the Mandalorian and Grogu. According to Disney, Hondo Ohnaka just found out about a deal on Tatooine between ex-Imperial officers and some pirates. There’s a bounty for their capture, so you’re going to “borrow” the Millennium Falcon and team up with Din Djarin and Grogu to track them down. But there’s more — you’ll also get to visit some NEW destinations on the ride, including Bespin…

You’ll even have a chance to fly through Beggar’s Canyon…

…and through the remains of a Krayt Dragon.

You’ll even be visiting a loading dock on Cloud City, where you might spot a VERY familiar ship from Star Tours also visiting.

Of course, you won’t get to visit all of these destinations during your flight, but each mission will feature its own set of locations. Oh, and did I mention that the engineer position, which in the past did not have much to do, will be able to pick the location everyone travels to?! We’re excited to see how we’ll be able to pick! Not only that, but according to Disney, the engineer will get to communicate with Grogu! We can’t wait to check these changes out.

We’ll be on the lookout for even more Hollywood Studios changes and beyond. In the meantime, make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news and more!
