We recently experienced Universal Orlando's new theme park, Epic Universe, and we're still buzzing with excitement over everything we witnessed. Here's a quick rundown of some unexpected surprises we encountered during our visit.
**Amazingly Family-Friendly**
Universal parks often lean towards thrill rides, yet Epic Universe surprised us by including attractions suitable for younger visitors. Many rides only require a height of 40 inches, making them accessible for little ones. Our 7-year-old companion had a blast!
**Incredible Immersion**
We've seen the concept art, but nothing prepared us for the park's level of detail. From the spectacular Chronos Tower to the jaw-dropping gothic aesthetic of Dark Universe, the theming is out-of-this-world.
**Memorable Character Interactions**
While we anticipated lively character encounters, meeting figures like the Bride, the Invisible Man, and Igor were unforgettable. Plus, who can forget the incredible Hiccup and Toothless meet-and-greet?
**Tasty Surprises**
Universal is upping its culinary game. Dishes at Oak and Star Tavern stood out, especially compared to similar offerings at Disney, and unique drink flavors add a fun twist to the dining experience.
**Monsters Unchained Letdown**
Though expectations were high for Monsters Unchained, its storyline fell short. The ride's effects are top-notch, but the narrative needs work, and there's some ride downtime to iron out.
**So Much to Explore**
Epic Universe is vast, with too many attractions for a single day. Unfortunately, visitors can only secure one-day passes, so prioritize your must-sees to make the most of your visit.
These are just a few of the highlights from our first visit, and we can't wait to go back for more detailed coverage. For now, we're curious—will you be visiting Epic Universe? What are you most excited to experience? Share your thoughts with us!
