Disney just revealed a ton of exciting updates on their future animation projects!
Maybe it's something in the water, but Disney has rolled out loads of details about upcoming Pixar films and even a new version of one of their most beloved children’s series. So buckle up as we dive into all the juicy details!
### The New Mr. Incredible?
Back at the 2024 D23 Ultimate Fan Event, Disney hinted at a third **Incredibles** movie in the works. Now, [The Hollywood Reporter](https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/incredibles-3-director-peter-sohn-1236260365/) confirms Brad Bird is writing it, with Peter Sohn stepping in to direct. Sohn’s a Pixar veteran with credits like **The Good Dinosaur** and **Elemental**.
### The 2026/2027 Slate
At the 2025 Annecy Animation Festival in France, Pixar shared sneak peeks of upcoming releases. [Variety](https://variety.com/2025/film/global/pixar-pete-docter-toy-story-5-joan-cusak-hoppers-1236430354/) reports previews of 2026's **Hopper** and **Toy Story 5**. Joan Cusack is confirmed to return as Jessie. There's also a new film called **Gatto** arriving in 2027 by **Luca** director Enrico Casarosa, set in Italy and featuring a black cat named Nero.
### Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Is Back!
Disney also confirmed the return of its popular preschool series, renamed **Mickey Mouse Clubhouse+**. The updated show will feature familiar elements from the original but introduce new friends and settings. It premieres on July 21st on Disney Jr. and Disney+ in select markets.
