It’s been nearly three decades since Walt Disney World welcomed a new theme park. Some believe it’s well overdue, and here's why.

After the Magic Kingdom opened in 1971, EPCOT followed in 1982, Disney-MGM Studios in 1989, and Animal Kingdom in 1998. Since then, Disney has focused on expanding existing parks rather than creating new ones. While we’ve seen additions like Pandora in Animal Kingdom and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Hollywood Studios, these were all squeezed into existing spaces.

Imagine if these attractions launched in a new, specially designed park—a “Worlds of Disney,” perhaps? The possibilities could have been endless, with larger environments, like an expansive Kingdom of Arendelle instead of the smaller adaptations we’ve seen.

Introducing a fifth park could help alleviate crowding across the resort, benefiting both guests and operations. With Epic Universe set to open soon, making it Universal’s second new park since Disney’s last, it seems time for Disney to rethink its strategy.

What do you think? Should Disney have already introduced a fifth park? Share your thoughts below!
