Several Disney World attractions and some popular hotel lounges are closed for renovations this week. Along with the usual theme park closures, four hotel pools and two hotel pool bars are being refurbished. These seasonal closures typically last a short time, with most reopening by spring or summer. Check out the rundown of closings and when they might reopen.
Stormalong Bay and Hurricane Hanna’s at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts, along with other hotel areas, are set for extended renovation periods. Stormalong Bay closes until June, but guests can still enjoy leisure pools during this time. The Fantasia Pool at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort is closed until April 30th, with the Duck Pond Pool left open. Other closures include pools at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort, undergoing shorter renovations.
Some big park favorites like Magic Kingdom's Hall of Presidents and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad remain closed, with reopening dates stretching into 2025 or beyond. Astro Orbiter and Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade are also temporarily closed.
EPCOT’s Gran Fiesta Tour and Test Track are undergoing changes, with significant renovations expected to complete by 2025. Restaurant Marrakesh in the Morocco Pavilion remains closed without a set reopening date. Hollywood Studios sees permanent closure to Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy, while Voyage of the Little Mermaid will be reborn as a new show by summer 2025. And Animal Kingdom’s Kali River Rapids will reopen in March after a winter refurbishment.
