Disney just dropped some major updates, but a few crucial details were noticeably absent. On March 20th, during their Shareholder Meeting, Disney unveiled some exciting projects, including a "Coco" sequel and a new "Lion King" ride for Disneyland Paris. However, they were surprisingly silent on a few other matters.
Disney CEO Bob Iger, who returned in 2022, has an important task of choosing his successor before his contract ends in 2026. Many hoped for updates on this, but nothing emerged at the meeting. There were mentions of significant expansions for Disney parks, including a massive Magic Kingdom project and a Dinoland revamp into something new, possibly themed around "Encanto" and Indiana Jones.
While Disneyland is set to introduce an Avatar Experience, a "Coco" ride, and new attractions at the Avengers Campus, the meeting offered no further details. Similarly, updates were anticipated for the upcoming "Zootopia 2" film, but instead, new footage of the live-action "Lilo & Stitch" was revealed.
These omissions leave us wondering about the future of some of these projects. Could some be canceled or modified? What are your thoughts on Disney's latest news and the elements they didn't cover? Share your opinions in the comments!
